2002 CONTINENTAL CUP OF CURLING
RULES/SCORING:
Mixed doubles (36 points)
Each captain chooses six teams consisting of a man and a woman to throw a total of five rocks each end and a man and a woman to sweep them. One throws the first and fifth rocks while the other tosses Nos. 2-4. Games are six ends.
Team (72 points)
Each of the 12 teams will play one game. One captain will choose a team for sheet A with the opposing captain deciding which of his teams match up best. The captains alternate selections on each sheets.
Singles (32 points)
Each captain picks six shooters for a sharp-shooting competition like the Ford Hot Shots event that kicks off the Canadian men's and women's championships.
Skins (260 points)
Eight-end games. Like the team format, captains will decide the team matchups. Points are awarded for a 'skin' (scoring at least two points with the hammer) or a steal (scoring one or more points without the hammer). Carry-overs occur when an end is blanked or if only a single point is scored by the team with the hammer.
